Tights. Ruffled Collars. Sounds like Elizabethan England. However, it was also a time of great artistic and educational endeavors. Led by Queen Elizabeth, the age of Shakespeare was a time of great culture.

For those of you researching Elizabethan England, here are some guiding research questions that you can use to fill your webpage with information. These questions are designed to get you started – if you find other information that fits in, but doesn’t necessarily answer one particular question, it’s ok to write it down. Go above and beyond!!

· What was life like in Shakespeare’s time? Houses? Jobs? Families? Living conditions?
· Research the plague and how it affected everyday life.
· Describe the British Monarchy and how Queen Elizabeth fits in.
What was school like then?
